Olakira Camp is a migratory camp specifically designed to follow the annual Great Migration of Wildebeest and Zebra in the Serengeti National Park. Each year the camp moves from the Mara River in the northern Serengeti to the rich grasslands of Ndutu further south.
Olakira – meaning "star" in Swahili - is an intimate safari camp with accommodation in spacious and comfortable en-suite tented units with private verandas offering stunning views over the Serengeti. The camp captures the essence of classic mobile tented safaris of old. Whilst in camp, guests can enjoy story-telling, board games, star gazing or relaxing with a book amidst the sounds of the bush.
Activities at Olakira Camp are focused on game drives and wildlife viewing. Whether the camp is on the Mara River or the Southern Plains of Ndutu, the aim is to get guests as close to the thick of the action as possible. Game drives can be either half day or full day with a picnic bush lunch enjoyed overlooking the Serengeti plains. Camp management can also arrange private meals in the surrounding bush.
Located in the remote northern Serengeti, Sayari Camp overlooks vast Serengeti plains, home to staggering wildlife, great numbers of Big Cats, Giraffe, Elephant and Buck and an increasing population of Thino. During the migration season, millions of Zebra and Wildebeest arrive to share the fertile land with the permanent inhabitants. Sayari is Swahili for "universe", referencing the vast Serengeti plains and endless skies where the camp is situated.
Guest accommodation is in luxury en-suite tented units which blend perfectly into the majestic Serengeti landscape. After a day’s activities, guests can enjoy the infinity pool or choose to relax in the privacy of their veranda, the warmth of the fire place, or the comfort of the library, bar or lounge.
Activities in this remote area are focused on undisturbed wildlife viewing. Guided game drives and walks, spectacular Mara River crossings, and off-road driving are all available.
Dunia Camp is nestled between prime wildlife areas of central and southern Serengeti amongst the surreal rock formations of the Moru Kopjes. The Great Migration passes through this area and the secluded setting provides a tranquil retreat in the most scenic part of the Serengeti.
The camp is a small, semi-permanent camp offering accommodation in spacious en-suite tented units, each with a private veranda overlooking the kopjes. In camp guests can enjoy board games, swapping stories around the fire, or simply relaxing with a good book.
Dunia Camp is in the perfect location to enjoy the best of the Serengeti’s game viewing on a year round basis, and activities offered include half-day or full-day game drives incorporating many different aspects of the Serengeti – from the rolling plains of the southern grasslands to the rocky outcroppings in the Big Cat territories amidst the Moru Kopjes. Dunia’s close proximity to the Seronera River allows for a memorable balloon safari experience.
Klein’s Camp is situated in a wilderness concession just below the crest of the Kuka Hills in the Serengeti National Park. The location offers unbroken views over a gorgeous game-filled valley linking the Serengeti and the Masai Mara. This private and remote camp offers guests the spirit of wild Africa in a region which plays host to one of the greatest wildlife migrations on earth.
Guest accommodation is in stylish en-suite thatched stone cottages. The swimming pool overlooks smoky views of distant hills, while the stone interiors of the guest areas open up to breathtaking panoramas, with open fireplaces carefully positioned to keep the chill away.
Activities include twice-daily 4x4 game drives to explore the endless plains of the Serengeti. Interpretive bush walks are also available, and Klein’s Camp is also the only lodge in the Serengeti to offer night drives, which allow guests to experience the nocturnal world of the mighty hunters and predators. Additional optional activities include private guided safaris, on-site massages, or a visit to an authentic Masai boma.
Kusini Camp is the only permanent tented camp in the southern Serengeti. Situated in a remote and unspoilt area, the camp’s position on a raised rocky outcrop (kopje) surrounded by woodland provides extraordinary views of the plains below. The area is one of the great places in the world to see large predators, and Lion, Cheetah and Leopard often lie in the kopjes nearby camp. Between January and March the Great Migration returns to the area around Kusini and Wildebeest and Zebra cover the plains as they give birth to their young.
Accommodation is in en-suite tented units which are shaded from the sun by acacia trees, and all positioned carefully with thought to views of the surrounding plains. The private wooden veranda with comfortable furniture is the ideal spot to relax. The communal tent has a library, sitting room, dining room and veranda. Sundowners are served on the giant boulders of the kopje overlooking the endless plains for which the Serengeti is so famed.
Activities on offer include guided 4x4 game drives, bush breakfasts, lunches, and dinners, "cosmic safari" star-gazing excursions, and the chance to participate in the Serengeti Cheetah Watch program. Guests can also optionally enjoy a seasonal hot-air balloon safari for a once-in-a-lifetime chance to float over the Wildebeest migration and marvel at the incredible views.
