Chimfunshi wildlife Orphanage

The Chimfunshi Wildlife Orphanage in central Zambia is a non-profit refuge that cares for a wide variety of sick, wounded or unwanted animals, with the primary residents being over 100-orphaned chimpanzees. The refuge was established in the early 1980s when a ranger brought a badly wounded infant chimpanzee to the cattle ranch of a British couple living in the area. The Siddles nursed the baby chimp back to health and the seed of the sanctuary was planted and has since flourished...
